Public Speaking Module
One of my first modules was Public Speaking. This module was thought by Mr. Wall. He told us what techniques to use in our speech presentation.
I, not like many others, enjoy public speaking. I really enjoyed this module because of this and because of Mr. Wall's enthusiasm to teach us.
I chose the topic of my speech to be about football transfers, something I know a lot about. I play a lot of football and thus understand the game well. I can honestly say the price of football players is too much
On the day of the presentation I was very nervous. I was on at noon mid-day. I had most of my speech memorised and written down on flash cards. My speech correlated well with my presentation.
I arrived ten minutes early just to practice. Everyone before me said it's easy and that the Adjudicator was really nice. That eased off some pressure.
I went into the board room at exactly 12:02. I walked up to the computer at the front of the room. I then proceeded to open my PowerPoint presentation only to uncover an error-'whoops, there was an error when loading our presentation.'
I had no idea how to fix it so the Adjudicator allowed me to leave and try fix it.
I arrived back half an hour later with the problem solved.
All was going well until the middle of my speech when the wifi cut out and the screen went black!
I resolved this problem swiftly with minimal awkwardness.
It went well in the end!!

Pottery
Pottery was the module that I was most looking forward to as it is the most fun! The atmosphere was great and everyone enjoyed themselves. We first moulded our initials and then painted them with glaze.
Mr. O'Connor then fired our pieces in the 1000٥ oven.
Mr. O'Connor also told us the process to making masterpieces!
Pottery really lived up to my expectations!!

Health and safety
I found this health module to be very informative and helpful. A lot of the information will help me in my everyday life. It has taught me to be careful even when executing the simplest of tasks!

Nutrition
Before I began the nutrition module I was very interested in what foods are healthy and useful in a sport filled diet. We learned a lot about the different types of nutrients and what they do to help us. We learned that we don't actually have to go out of our way to increase our protein and carb intake because most of the foods we eat are high in those factors. The module has certainly changed my perspective on diets. I think I will slightly change my diet to increase my energy intake.
